I know I’m a *tad* obsessed with skincare. It’s not a new phenomenon for me.

I was born with sensitive, fair skin that hates a LOT of products, and it’s been the work of my adult life to find clean products that don’t cause reactivity and that actually WORK.

As we move from summer to fall (and eventually winter, *sobs*) our skincare products deserve a look. I’m outside multiple times a day caring for livestock, regardless of weather, so I need a routine that serves me in the extremes.

Here’s my round up of cold weather faves.

This moisturizer from Embryolisse is under $20. Read that again.

This is super emollient, unscented, and a cult favorite from the much-ballyhooed French Drugstore line up. You can use it morning or night, and it sinks right in. Works beautifully under make up. No notes.

The Froya system you’ve seen all over the socials, but you don’t have to subscribe to try it. It’s a 4 pack of items that are seriously amazing for dry skin. I have been surprised by how often I reach for these. They’re waterless, so you only need a tiny amount, and they last forever. Bioactive botanicals do the job, with zero irritation.

I will never not share this one from Bloom Effects. I use this daily – rain, shine, indoors, or outdoors. The finish looks dewy, natural, and no-makeup fresh, but just a little better.

Is it a sunscreen? Yes. A tinted moisturizer? Yep. A multi-vitamin serum? Also yes. Up-cycled from tulips (!)? Uh-huh.

This is lazy girl heaven, if you only want to do ONE THING after washing your face. I personally layer this over my moisturizer, because my skin is, ahem, “mature,” but if you’re not particularly dry, or it’s humid out, you can absolutely slather this on willy-nilly and go. One bottle lasts months.

I’ve been using this serum from MyChelle forever, because hyaluronic acid holds hundreds of times its own weight in water. It goes on your skin first thing after cleansing, and absorbs instantly with zero stickiness. Everything that goes on over it works tons better. And I love this OG clean beauty brand.

This one is kinda fancy, but it does go on sale, so I keep it in my cart, saved for later, and keep my eye on the price.

But oh my, it’s a little fancy for a reason. If you like a skin oil, this one from Le Prunier is heavenly. It smells like a plum grove – because it’s made from actual plums – and it hits peak moisture immediately, while soaking in and leaving nothing but a soft glow behind.
